About me
I am a UX designer and researcher who creates captivating and functional experiences by building through learning. I am especially passionate about accessible design and connecting communities through technology.
Born and raised in Chicago, I have been an educator and community builder for nearly ten years. Previous to completing the UXDI at General Assembly I was a high school history teacher, mentor, and coach. My academic background includes global research with the University of Pretoria’s Centre for the Study of AIDS in South Africa as well as the Social Support Initiative in Botswana focusing on health and livelihoods of children. I bring these experiences to the research and design process and seek to address everyday challenges through an empathetic and human-centered design approach.
I enjoy hiking, camping, woodworking, baseball, and generally being outside for no particular reason.
